MY EMPLOYMENT JOURNEY

13 Years of Professional Experience in Marketing

2013-2022

My professional marketing career began at British American Tobacco Bangladesh, one of the country’s top employers. During my time there, I progressed through multiple roles across both trade and brand marketing—starting as a Territory Officer and advancing to Brand Manager, then Regional Manager. At BAT, I spent three years in trade and five years in brand marketing across multiple international markets, working on a mix of local and global brands. This experience built a strong foundation in consumer marketing.

2022-2023

Leaving a well-established career to move to Canada as an international student was a difficult decision at first. I began my professional journey in Canada at TD Bank in a customer-facing role, progressing to Personal Banking Associate later. This experience gave me valuable insight into Canadian customer behavior and reinforced my understanding of how frontline customer experience is fundamental to building strong brands from the ground up

2023-2026

In 2023, I joined Brandt, where I have been managing the advertising portfolio for parts and service marketing across the agriculture, construction, forestry, and transportation sectors. Over the past two years and eight months, I’ve gained hands-on experience in digital marketing, campaign execution in the Canadian landscape, content management, and flyer program management, further strengthening my ability to deliver results in a highly digital environment.

Worked Across Bangladesh, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Canada

Being part of British American Tobacco gave me the opportunity to work across different markets—Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Hong Kong—each with its own consumer behavior, market dynamics, and strategic challenges. Working across these markets has shaped my understanding of how consumer landscapes directly influence marketing strategy and has given me a deeper, more practical perspective on building brands in different environments. In Bangladesh, my experience was centered around fast-moving consumer goods, where I developed strong expertise in product development, brand positioning, and building brand personas. In New Zealand, my focus evolved toward creating more consumer-centric pricing strategies, further reinforcing how even within the same marketing discipline, different markets require entirely different strategic roadmaps.

In Canada, my experience expanded into the B2B marketing landscape, where I gained valuable exposure to digital marketing, advertising, and industry-specific marketing across construction, forestry, agriculture, and transportation sectors. I have also worked extensively within parts and service portfolios, including managing flyer programs, campaign execution, and customer communication strategies. Together, these experiences have given me a well-rounded perspective on both consumer and business marketing, and a strong understanding of how strategy must adapt across industries, audiences, and markets.

Experience Working with Global Marketing Agencies

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work closely with global agency networks, particularly Geometry Global across markets such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Australia and New Zealand. My work with these global agencies was primarily focused on creative communication development, building brand guidelines, developing communication plans, and bringing creative concepts to life through strategic execution. This is where I developed a deeper understanding of how an idea evolves into a powerful communication tool. From writing clear and purposeful creative briefs, to uncovering consumer needs and behavioral insights, to collaborating with designers, strategists, and creative directors who transform those insights into impactful ideas—this experience taught me that great communication is not just about creativity, but about translating human understanding into meaningful brand experiences.

MY SKILLS

My core strengths lie in strategic marketing, decision-making, complex project management, and team leadership. However, over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with experienced creative directors and global agencies, which sparked a deep curiosity about how creative production works. Driven by this passion, I continuously expanded my skill set by learning and working across a range of creative tools and software, strengthening both my technical and creative capabilities.

Over time, that inspiration turned into a personal pursuit—one driven by curiosity, experimentation, and the desire to keep learning. MY VIDEO PROJECTS

Videography is one of my greatest passions and a creative outlet where I find both happiness and peace. I invest my time in it not only to sharpen my skills, but to continuously learn and grow. Just as some people find peace in drawing or crafting, I find mine in creating videos. My goal is to build a diverse portfolio that reflects my passion for visual storytelling and creative expression.
